This woodblock was one of twelve illustrations by Buckland Wright for Algernon Swinburne's Laus Veneris,  printed by Golden Cockerel Press, London. 1948.
750 copies were published, with twelve wood-engravings, six of which are full-page. The edition was designed, produced and published by Christopher Sandford.
